So, what is everyone doing for Christmas?   

I'd love to hear your small family traditions that you like to do with each other.     It's been fun to establish our family traditions over the last several years, and I always love hearing what other people do.

We love to decorate for Christmas around the beginning of December with garlands and lights, and all, but then Christmas Eve night, after the kids are in bed, we decorate the kitchen and their room with streamers and balloons to celebrate Jesus' birthday.   Then when they wake up in the morning, we have birthday cake for Jesus first thing!    Dessert for breakfast, what could be better?!

Merry Christmas, and hopefully, we'll all be able to celebrate together soon enough!

Looking More Like Fall...

Well, complete with pumpkins, our abode is looking more like fall every day.    We had a good weekend, with lots of rest - and haircuts for Randy and Asher.   River came down with a bug Saturday night, but was fine by Sunday.   So far (knock on wood and say a prayer) no one else has had it.    

Yesterday, it was cool, but so pretty, that we went outside and took some pictures on our front porch.   Because our LCD is broken on our digital camera, we only have our old camcorder that also takes pictures, just not at a very high quality.   So even though it's a bit grainy, I wanted to put up a picture of our two cutie pies wrapped up in there new blankets...made by yours truly! 

Coffee is Great But This is BETTER

Hello All of you Wimmers:

I am sooo glad Melissa made this for us! Woot!! Go Technology and the Wimmers- it is a great thing. Speaking of coffeemakers- Sharon, I bought a beautiful coffeemaker last fall and I think it is the most wonderful thing ever- it is a Cuisinart One Cup- it brews all of your coffee and then dispenses it one cup at a time. So please, post pics if you have em!

We are an interesting brood of folks, and in this last week I was glad to see Bill and Richard making strides in their computer tech savvy. I would never have learned without being forced into the computer culture, I would have just let some of it pass me by, and oh the things we see. So, here is something that made me laugh and having it in email is just not enough- it belongs here, for all of us to enjoy :)

Nothing interesting is happening, but I did make a B+ in Psychiatric Nursing. Apparently I am not enough of an overachiever to make an A with 3 kids, but I would gladly speak to any of you about your OCD...come on, you know you have it... or do you? or do I?...wait, what is that shiney thing over there???

Welcome to the Wimmer family blog!    If you’ve never blogged before, or heard of a blog, or are thinking, “What word is she mis-spelling” it is an online journal.   It is a place for people to be able to share thoughts, stories, and pieces of their lives, in a way that is open for others to enjoy.   I’m looking forward to seeing what we each have to add.    Anyone have any good name suggestions (other than the ever-so-original “Wimmer Family”)?   Oh, and just fyi, it’s not a place for perfect grammar!   haha.
